Ah home sweet home. Then again, Kampar isn't really my home. Oh wells.

So the Penang trip is now officially over and done with. All that's left to do is to compile the information and prepare the folio and presentation, both due in August. I kinda enjoyed myself during the trip, and I especially love the bed =p It's so comfy that I wish I could bring it back with me.

So on Sunday, we departed from college around 7.20++. Arrived at Penang around 11 and it was raining that time. Quickly grabbed my luggage from the compartment and went into the hotel for shelter. After checking in, changed into my casual wear ( we had to wear formal wear) and went to the lobby to go to Prangin mall with group members for our assignments. Went back to the hotel at five to prepare for dinner. Since the theme is Shangai Nite, I wore a cheongsam (sorry I completely forgot to take a pic, will get it from my class rep tomorrow) and at first I was unsure whether I should wear that or change to my office attire. But I stuck to my cheongsam and thank god, I'm not the only one wearing it. The ballroom was freaking cold by the way. Was freezing and complaining to el bout it.

On the second day, we had a talk by the hotel senior management. I like the talk by the general manager, Mr Karl Karlsson, as I find it very motivating and inspiring. After the talk, I went up to him and managed to talk to him for just a short while and got his business card =3 Went to hawker stalls for lunch. Ordered prawn mee but doesn't taste that nice =( Rushed back to the hotel for more assignments ( for some reasons, I don't really trust one of my group members to finish the job, and my leader was nowhere to be found, so I took over it even though it's not mine, and thanks to another member for accompanying me.) After that, went back for a nap before preparing for another ball. This time the theme is Glitz Nite. Camwhored a lot with my classmates. And my class rep loves taking pictures with us girls surrounding him. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a harem in the future >_> And now we're calling him Wai Siu Poh.

On the third day, after breakfast, we're free except for the foodservice students. They had another talk. And oh, I overheard one of the lec telling another lec this. Apparently, some students went to the mamak in their pajamas and bathroom slippers. totally LOL-ed! And one student even fell asleep in the lobby with his mouth wide open or he was snoring while waiting for his friends. So anyway, I went to sit by the poolside. At first nobody was there, but later more and more seniors came and it became pretty lively. Two of them, who're erm.... not thin, decided to become human cannonball and jump into the swimming pool, resulting in a big splash. Checked out at 11.30 and departed to Gurney at 12.30++. sms-ed kelvin, but since he had classes, he couldn't make it =( Anyway, went and surveyed the shops again and this time we were separated from our groups. I bought Devil May Cry dvd and my class rep bought GTO and gun-something. Watched GTO in the bus and the lecturer got hooked onto it =___=""

someone: aiyo, if the people at the front seats don't want to watch, just switch off the tv la.
class rep: cannot. pn.hana's husband (he's also a lec too) is watching.
us: har? serious??

Anyway, as we reached Kampar, it started raining and I had to call my roommate to pick me up. It's weird la, considering the day we went to Penang it was raining and when we came back here, it's raining as well. Wonder why? It is because of us?

Pictures are not in order and I'll have to get more from other people.

grr... blogger/streamyx is being such a bit*h, they wouldn't lemme upload the pics. some other time.

I'm current still in Penang, and am blogging this form my room. So far, the trip is good, except for a little....dissatisfaction. Then again, these feelings have been brewing right even before this trip. It's only been a month, but all of us have split into various factions, which is not good at all. This morning, someone said that this is normal, seeing how the hotel line is a very competitive environment and there'll be a lot of backstabbing. And now I remembered what Christy told me last year.

So I'm going to distant myself from all these things and will keep all my feelings and secrets to myself only. Even my friend thinks this the best solution.

Imma pacifist = ) Don't drag me into this mess.

Okay just a quick update before I go for class at 5 later.

Just now during our Intro to Hospitality Management, the head of the Perak branch campus came in. She came to warn and brief us about the A(H1n1). According to her three people have been declared h1n1 positive in the KL campus, and naturally, everyone got reaaaally worried. And then when she read out the symptoms of the diesease, woah even worse. First there's this guy from my class who has fever for three days already. Then more and more people said " A was sick", " I have sore throat and runny rose" and bla. Even the head herself was panicking since there's so many students with those symptoms and we're due to go to Penang in two days time.

So, for safety reasons, she ordered the sick ones to go to the General Hospital for checkup. I think almost half of the hospitality school students went.

When they came back later, they said they've been cleared since the doctor told them that they need not worry if they have not come into contact with those who came back from overseas. And this is the bizarre part. According to one of the guys who sent them there, the head of the general hospital scolded them. Why? Cause according to head, they've caused a scare there. =___= What the hell? Shouldn't the hospital be prepared to handle a large group of patients, regardless of the reason? And why should the head scold them for they're only concerned about their health and isn't prevention waaaaaaaaaaay better than cure? Let's just say if we're infected and go to the doctor, the doctor will scold us for not taking precautions right? But this one is the other way round. No wonder la now Malaysia has so many h1n1 cases. With these kinds of attitudes, they're sending the wrong signal to the public.

Econs is boring the heck out of me. It's easy to understand, but somehow they'll just slip right off right after class is over and this is so not good. Seeing how the lecturer keeps saying a lot of people fail last year, I really can't just slack off. I need motivation and the will! So MOTIVATE me people!!

Hmm, today my kitchen management and sanitation told us a very...err, "interesting" story of what happened to her in Japan. But I think I would skip that. I had just told Tim and I don't think I want repeat that for now. I just want to laugh and puke at the same time everytime I think of the story.

And oh, One Piece is out early =3 That's definitely a treat for me. But I hate it lah, it's always the good people who'll die >_> But it seems like this is the end of the Impel Down arc, for now anyway. And am looking forward to this saturday. My mum is coming to visit me. And oh, I might be straightening my hair. It has been driving me bonkers.

P/S: KX, where are you? Haven't seen you online for ages!! And oh, have you finished Pride and Prejudice yet? Dang I'm still addicted to the story. >_> I just can't get enough of it.

Penang trip is next week, I just can't wait. XD One of the reason is once this trip is over, I don't have to rush out of the house to attend dancing lessons anymore. They're killing me, or rather, my my feet.

Just came back from Tesco with my kitchen management group. We went to do our assignment, which is to take pictures of the stuff listed down by our lecturer. Everything was ok, 'cept for the part that one of the Tesco employee refused to let us take the picture. So we took our stuff, which was in a trolley, pushed it near the NON-HALAL/WINE section (my leader's idea) and started taking pictures there. Okay so another assignment down. wee~

Oh crap, I still have hubungan etnik. Seriously, why do we have to study these kind of stupid subjects lar???????????

One two cha cha cha! One two cha cha cha!

Well that pretty much sums up what I'm up to these days. Am having dance rehearsals from tues to thursday after college. I think I'm not gonna dance on stage though. However our lecturer and seniors are teaching us how to do fox trot(?) and waltzing i think. And oh cha cha of course XD. Good thing is we get to learn new stuff which is totally unrelated with our course. The downside is, its very tiring la =( Imagine rushing home after college to shower, then going out to have dinner with your frieds, rushing to college and coming home with your assignments to greet you.

Need more rest. Gah. Two tests next week. Wish me luck!

Sleep deprived, but I don't mind. Its definitely good to be home, even if its just for the weekend :) . Anyways, can't just sit around doing nothing. Assignments are piling up really quickly.

Anyway, there's a few stuff I've learned this week. One of it is one of the lecture halls is haunted, according to cik hana. o.o We're not allowed to sit on the last two rows as there are already "people" sitting there. When I told this to my housemate, he said its not unusual as there were students who committed suicide there before due to study pressure.Another I've learnt is eating chocolate and pickled fruits every month ( moderate consumption) can help to prevent period pain. I'm not sure if this works, so if anyone tried it, please tell me.

On Friday, Ms Julie was giving a lecture on dunno what, when she suddenly start about baking bread and kneading the dough. She said, according to her former students, they can't make proper bread as their bread is so hard that when throw it at a dog, the dog will die (according to her la). Then their lecturer told them, kneading the dough is an art. You need to use your "imagination" when kneading the dough so that they'll turn out nice. ( I don't think you guys need me to explain the "imagination" thing right? XD You people have a really active and senget mind to get the meaning.) After that, Ms Julie also told us three stories about how the people in Ipoh and Kampar have no sense of danger.

This is the first story. She was in JJ and was in a kopitiam when the fire alarm went off. She and a few tourist panicked but when they look around, everyone else was still sitting, eating and drinking as if nothing happened. The second story is also a similar one, so I'll just skip it. The third and the last one is the best. It was final exam for those first year students. Ms Julie and another lecturer was invigilating when the fire alarm went off. She was wondering how she'll get the students out in an orderly fashion when she and the lec saw this. The students just kept writing as if they heard nothing. So at the beginning of the new semester, she asked them if they had hear the fire alarm going off.

Students: yea we did.
J: then how come you guys just keep on writing? Are you people not afraid?
S: There's no way I'm going to spend rm60 just to resit that paper.
J: you mean you'll rather get burned to death than pay rm60???

~.~ I was wth man.... didn't know this type of people existed. Anyway, J said that even if there's a terrorist who is threatening to blow up the college or JJ, the people can't be bothered as long as they can eat, drink or answer their test paper. =_________=

Oh and I went to the setia alam tesco just now. Guess what me and my bro saw?Well yeah I know, the picture quality is not that good since its taken with my cell phone. But enjoy it anyways.

I hate high heels. I can't walk properly in them and my feet hurt a lot when I walk. And they made me feel as if I have to walk forever just to reach college. Anyway, other than that, everything is fine.... Oh wait, I totally forgot about my skirt, which is so darn loose. Gah, this is the smallest size and its still so loose. Need to take it back to the shop so they can alter it for me. I need to gain some weight, I'm too thin TT______TT

Anyway, I'm going back this Friday. People please pray for me as I'm stopping at Puduraya, one of the busiest and most unsafe place on earth. >_______< Kinda nervous as I don't know what to expect. Anyway just came back from buying seeds. I'm planting spinach, anyone interested? =DD
